ABOUT ME
Completing my undergraduate and graduate studies at Rutgers School of Social Work and my internships with the State of NJ DCP&P, I began my career in 1993. I have been working specifically with adolescents and their families since 1999. Alongside my private practice, I am Case Manager/Therapist with the Freehold Regional High School District. Coupled with my previous experience in an alternative behavioral school, Juvenile Therapist with East Brunswick Police Department, a Case Manager with Shrewsbury School District and an Intensive In-home therapist; my knowledge and skills provide the clinical support and counseling to youth and their families with social/emotional or behavioral struggles. I strive to engage participants in gaining an accurate understanding of thoughts, behaviors and mind-sets that create obstacles in their personal growth and success.
Utilizing reality and strength based approaches, I assess the individual and family's current/existing resources, supports and skills to highlight strengths and create awareness. The aim is to lead individuals to understanding triggers and conflict, account for transitions, build and improve problem-solving strategies, communicate effectively, cope and adapt. The ultimate goal is to promote social/emotional, mental health, and progress.
